Save a baseline, then branch with intent
Save a meaningful starting point, branch alternatives, and label decisions and deliveries.
- Save a meaningful starting point before a substantial design change.
- Create a separate branch when testing an alternative that should not replace the current direction.
- Use short, specific labels for decisions and deliveries, for example “client approved”.
